Xiaomi has unveiled its next-gen foldable and its first flip smartphone in China this month. The company is entering an active foldable market just a few weeks after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Z Fold 6 series. Xiaomi has used the Mix moniker for its fold devices and now the Flip is a much-needed addition to the market. Both the devices get flagship features and a Leica-engineered camera system among other things.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 And Flip Price
The Mix Fold 4 is priced at CNY 8,999 (Rs 1.03 lakh approx) for the base 12GB + 256GB model, going up to CNY 10,999 (Rs 1.26 lakh approx) that gets you the 16GB + 1TB variant. The Mix Flip prices start from CNY 5,999 (Rs 59,000 approx) and you have three variants for the flip as well.
Xiaomi Mix 4 And Flip Features
The Mix 4 gets a carbon fiber internal structure which is claimed to offer solidity without taking a hit on the weight. It features IPX8 rating, a first for a Xiaomi foldable, which offers water resistance.
The foldable sports a 6.56-inch LTPO OLED display with adaptive refresh rate. The main screen is a 7.98-inch panel which also supports adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 3000 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. HyperOS is running by default on both the devices, and you have a 20MP front facing shooter on the cover display as well.
The imaging duties on the Fold 4 are handled by a quad-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP portrait sensor, a 10MP periscope lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The foldable comes with a 5,100mAh battery that lets you charge at 67W in the wired and 50W in the wireless mode.
Coming to the Mix Flip, this is an interesting addition to Xiaomi’s lineup. The large 4.1-inch cover screen gives it more purpose and functionality than the Galaxy Z Flip models. Powered by the same chipset config means you get high-end performance. The cover display has two 50MP cameras. And finally, the Flip gets a large 4,780mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging speed.
Both these devices will be going on sale in China this month, and there is some hope of Xiaomi bringing the Fold 4 and the Mix Flip 4 models to countries like India, where the foldable competition is heating up.
