The Indian Team have arrived in Sri Lanka ahead of their upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka.

The Indian Cricket Team have landed in Pallekele ahead of their white-ball tour against Sri Lanka. This will be Gautam Gambhir’s first assignment as Team India’s Head Coach and the former India opener will look to get his stint going with a positive start.

A video was uploaded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s- (BCCI) official handle on X (formerly known as Twitter) where it shows some moments from the team’s trip to their next-door neighbours.

The Indian team will begin their tour with a three-match T20I series. This will be a momentous occasion as it will be the first time Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side as the long-term skipper for the side after Rohit Sharma’s retirement.

Rohit however, will join the side later on along with Virat Kohli who will be part of the 50-over side that will take place from August 2. He will also look to get back to business, leading the Indian team.

Gautam Gambhir along with the BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar had addressed the media in a press conference where the two talked about a wide range of topics.

Gambhir had also confirmed that his assistant coaches would be Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate. Along with him the likes of  T. Dilip and former Indian spinner Sairaj Bahutule also took the flight with the Indian team to Sri Lanka as part of the support staff.
