Triptii Dimri's fee for Bad Newz revealed?

Bad Newz marks Triptii Dimri's first film after Animal. The Ranbir Kapoor film elevated her popularity to the next level.

Triptii Dimri has been the talk of the town since last December. After having set the screens on fire with her performance and her sizzling chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, she is grabbing eyeballs with Bad Newz. Starring opposite Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, Triptii looks glamourous in the songs released so far — Tauba Tauba and Jaanam. While fans are eager to see what she has in store, a report has claimed Triptii doubled her fee after the success of Animal.

If a report by Siasat.com is to be believed, Triptii was paid Rs 40 lakhs for Animal. However, following the rise in popularity, Triptii has allegedly charged anything between Rs 80 lakhs to 1 crore. The report claimed that she has quoted a similar fees for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. News18 couldn’t verify the claims at the time of publishing.

Following the release of Animal, Triptii was tagged as the new ‘national crush’. At the trailer launch of Bad Newz, she was asked if the title bothered her. She said, “In my experience, luckily, I would like to thank God, because in my experience, it has been the other way around, as many films I have done in my career, whether they are the older films that I did earlier, or the ones that have released recently, I have received a lot of love from my audience.

“People have liked my work and have spoken about it. Initially, when I came into the industry, I always wanted people should talk about my work and nothing else. Luckily, when my films have released, they have spoken about my work. I think these things motivate us actors to do better in life and to keep working on our craft and I think, that way I have been very fortunate.”

Triptii, known for her roles in films like Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, recently rose to prominence with her portrayal of Zoya in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. The action-packed film also featured Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Shakti Kapoor. She will now be seen in Bad Newz, directed by Anand Tiwari, and will be followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee. The third installment of the popular franchise, also featuring Vidya Balan, is scheduled for a Diwali 2024 theatrical release.
