The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced that the answer key challenge facility for the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2024 ends today, July 22. Candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the model answer key must do so by midnight today.
To challenge an answer, candidates need to log in to the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in, and use the provided interface. Each challenge requires a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 500 per question, which can be paid via net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
After the challenge period ends, WBJEEB will review all the objections raised and will release the final answer key, which will be used for the calculation of the results. As per the PUBDET marking scheme, candidates will receive two marks for each correct response. For every incorrect response, 0.5 marks will be deducted. A candidate will receive zero marks for any response to a question that they do not mark.
The date of the PUBDET 2024 result will be posted on the official website shortly by the board. The PUBDET 2024 scorecards will be distributed by the board along with the results. The officials will begin the counselling process for seat allocation based on merit orders after the PUBDET results are released.

The PUBDET examination is for admission into undergraduate courses in B.A and B.Sc (Honours) at the Presidency University. Candidates who have passed or appeared in their class 12 examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination are eligible to apply for it. It was an online registration and the students had to pay the required application fee for enrolment.
This year, the PUBDET examination admit cards were available from June 25. Moreover, the exams were also pre-poned. Earlier the exam was scheduled to take place on July 27 and 28. Later it got rescheduled to July 6 and 7. The answer key challenge facility allows candidates to review and contest the provisional answer key if they believe there are any discrepancies. The examination was held offline and it was OMR based. The test is subject-specific, covering topics relevant to the course applied for. Each paper is typically two hours duration.
