Passengers flying internationally with Air India and Vistara can now check-in at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations on the Airport Express Line.
This new service, which started in the first week of June, aims to make travel easier and smoother for those flying out of Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Previously, this convenient check-in service was only available for domestic travelers. Now, thanks to a collaboration between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Air India, and Vistara, international travelers can also benefit.
“After the success with domestic passengers, we’re excited to extend the ‘Check-in & Baggage-Drop’ service to international flyers with Air India and Vistara. We invite more airlines to join in and make travel even more convenient,” said Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, corporate communications, DMRC, as quoted by TOI.
Dayal also mentioned that the service has already received positive feedback from passengers.
