Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s collaboration with younger brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui wasn’t a fruitful one. They came together for the latter’s directorial feature titled Bole Chudiyan but the film has been in the making for the longest time owing to alleged creative differences between them. But this rift hasn’t stopped Nawazuddin from working with his family. In fact, News18 Showsha has exclusively learnt that he’s all set to unite with another brother, Faizuddin Siddiqui, for a music video.
A source tells us, “Nawazuddin’s brother Faizuddin is launching a global digital platform for music enthusiasts who aspire to build careers in the music industry. To lend support to him, the Sacred Games and The Lunchbox actor has agreed to feature in a music video. While he has rapped for a song in Bole Chudiyan, this time around, he won’t be going behind the microphone but only appear in the video. Talks for the same are still on and the shoot is yet to happen.”
As for Faizuddin, he’s focused on providing opportunities to new talents in the music world, including singers, composers and lyricists who lack access or opportunities. “The platform called Mozart Entertainment will focus on fusion music and Faizuddin is set to release its first single on their digital platform next week. The song is titled Jai Jai Shankar Shambhu and is sung by Altmash Faridi of Ve Kamleya and Ik Mulaqaat fame and composed by Ronak Phukan with the music video directed by Rida Hussain,” adds the source.
Faizuddin is apparently also in discussions with major music platforms for potential mergers. “The aim is to bring talents under one roof and provide proper digital releases. Currently, the team is in the process of finalising a selection of singers, composers and lyricists from across India. They plan to offer them a global platform, spreading messages of love, hope and belonging through their music. They plan on launching one single every month on their platform,” states the source.
As for Bole Chudiyan, Nawazuddin exclusively told News18 Showsha last year that the film co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia is very much on track. “Some portions of the film are still left to be shot. If they call and tell me that I need to go back to the set to resume shoot, I’ll do that immediately,” he had shared. The teaser of the film, a love story, released in 2019 with a track titled Swaggy Chudiyan unveiled in 2021.
