Kim Cattrall has refuted the reports surrounding her return as the iconice Samantha Jones in And Just Like That Season 3. Kim shared the big news while replying to a fan post on X (formerly Twitter). The note attached to the post, in question, read, “It looks like #KimCattrall (a.k.a. Samantha Jones) will be back for And Just Like That…season 3 after all!” Reacting to it, Kim said, “Aw, that’s so kind,” on X. “But I’m not.”

This confirmation comes after a report by Life & Style revealed that Kim Cattrall has agreed to appear in Season 3 of the follow-up series Sex and the City, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
An insider told the portal that the makers and Kim are waiting for the right time to reveal the big news. “The word is that she’ll get to shoot all her scenes in London,” the person was quoted as saying.
After starring in Sex and the City 2 in 2010, Kim Cattrall turned down the offer to shoot a third movie and wasn’t invited back for And Just Like That. However, towards the conclusion of the second season of the programme last year, she shocked fans with a quick cameo as Samantha.
The actress, 66, made it clear that she had no intention of playing Samantha again in a more significant part once word leaked about her season 2 appearance.
When questioned during an interview with Today about future plans to increase Samantha’s presence, Kim said, “This is as far as I’m going to go.”
Over the years, Kim reportedly refused to participate in a Sex and the City sequel due to disagreements with the cast, according to Entertainment Weekly.
