Karthi To Have A Special Appearance In Suriya’s Kanguva: Reports

Suriya’s upcoming fantasy action film, Kanguva, is the most talked-about Kollywood film. As per latest reports, it is said that another star is set to make a special appearance in the film. As per the latest speculations, Suriya’s brother and actor Karthi will be seen making a special appearance in the upcoming fantasy film. Karthi will have a short appearance in the first part of the Kanguva, which will be followed by a lead role in the next part. According to reports, he will be playing a different role, but an official confirmation in this matter is awaited. The team has decided to shoot a new scene, exclusively to enhance the film. It was also planned to set aside three days for the shoot in Chennai.

Directed by Siva, Kanguva will also feature Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in prominent roles. The upcoming film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and Pramod Uppalapati, under the banners of Studio Green and UV Creations.

The makers of the film have made hints that the Kanguva saga will continue with a sequel. Producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green revealed his plans to develop it into a franchise. He also affirmed that there will be a Kanguva sequel and that production will begin soon. He also stated that the second part of Kanguva will begin production in 2026. “If everything goes as per plan, ‘Kanguva 2’, might release in January 2027,” he said, as per media reports.

On the special occasion of Suriya’s birthday, the makers announced the first single from Kanguva, titled Fire Song, on Tuesday, July 23. The official handle of Studio Green shared a poster of the film with the announcement of the song release. Taking to X, it wrote, “Through the flames of destiny, let’s find our inner tribal instincts. Let’s celebrate our #Kanguva’s birthday with the #FireSong.”

Kanguva also features Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, and KS Ravikumar. The cinematography of the film is handled by Vetri Palanisamy, while the editing is done by Nishadh Yusuf. The music of the magnum opus is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film is scheduled to be released on October 10 across the world.
