Dyson is giving the wireless headphone a full try this time.

Dyson has launched its first wireless headphone that doesn't double as an air purifier but promises customisation and high-end audio output.

Dyson has launched its first full-fledged wireless headphone lineup with the launch of OnTrac in global markets. According to the company, these active noise cancellation headphones are made from high-end finishes and premium materials that make them comfortable to wear.

It is worth noting that this is the company’s second attempt in the headphones segment after Dyson Zone, which came with a visor on the front for air purification along with the headset.

Chief Engineer Jake Dyson said in a statement, “With over 30 years of experience in aeroacoustics, we’ve mastered sound physics. By reducing noise through in-house anechoic chambers and expert engineers, we have applied and further expanded our audio knowledge to develop the Dyson OnTrac headphones.”

Dyson OnTrac Headphone Price

The new Dyson OnTrac ANC wireless headphones are priced at $499.99 (Rs 41,000 approx). The outer caps, made from high-grade aluminium with a range of ceramic or anodised finishes and colours, will cost $49.99 (Rs 4,000) per set. The headsets are available online on the official website of Dyson. The company is expected to announce the price for India in the coming months.

Dyson OnTrac Headphone Features

The tech giant claims its OnTrac headphones offer the best-in-class ANC thanks to technology that samples sound 384,000 times per second. The headsets come with eight sound-sampling microphones that reduce unwanted noise by up to 40 dB. Users can also track the external noise in real-time via the MyDyson smartphone app.

The OnTrac is equipped with 40mm speaker drivers that offer enhanced sound coverage with a frequency range of 6 to 21,000 Hz. The headphones also come with multi-pivot gimbal arms and two built-in lithium-ion batteries, each rated at 2,540 mAh.

The OnTrac features a joystick for controls like pause/play and changing the track, among others. Talking about the battery life, the headphones will offer up to 55 hours of listening time with the ANC.
