BTS singer Jin will be a part of the Summer Olympics 2024 set to take place in Paris. Several South Korean news outlets have confirmed that Kim Seok-jin will be a torchbearer from South Korean this year. The singer was discharged from his military training last month and this marks his first official work commitment.
On Tuesday, Dispatch reported that Jin will be flying to France to participate in the Summer Olympics. However, the date and location are still under the wraps. The Paris Olympics flame was lit in Greece and reached France last month. The torch is to travel through different cities before it reaches the opening ceremony venue on July 27.
The event also marks Jin’s first international commitment following his dischargement from the military. After the news of his association with Paris Summer Olympics 2024 was revealed, fans took to X to express their excitement. Many said they were proud of Jin.

The news of his participation in the Summer Olympics comes days after it was reported he will be seen in the variety show, ‘It’s Good to Get a Good Rest.’ Jin confirmed he was busy ever since he completed military training.
“I have been recording, filming variety shows, and I’m slowly making progress on plans I made in the military, one by one. Showing my face as much as I can but also doing my main job. The final products will all be released a few months later, so please wait just a little bit more,” the Moon said on Weverse over the weekend.
